Terms of Use
Version 1.0
These Terms govern your use of Soulio, a platform connecting people seeking emotional support
with peer supporters and mental health specialists. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. What Soulio is for
- Soulio exists to help people find emotional support — from trained peer supporters and from
specialists who state they hold a relevant licence or credential.
- Soulio is not a dating or matchmaking service, and must not be used to seek
romantic or sexual relationships. See the Clinical Disclaimer and Peer Support Guidelines for
what Soulio does and does not provide.
- Soulio is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local
emergency services.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be 18 or older to register.
- The information you provide must be accurate. Impersonating another person is not allowed.
- One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- A specialist account requires supplying genuine credential documents for review — see the
Specialist Agreement.
3. Acceptable use
Encouraged
- Honest, respectful communication
- Sharing your own experience to support others
- Reporting content that concerns you
- Using "Get help now" whenever you or someone else may be at risk
Not allowed
- Romantic, sexual, or dating-oriented contact
- Harassment, hate speech, or abusive content
- Impersonation or fraud
- Unlicensed clinical advice, diagnosis, or prescribing

4. Messaging and safety monitoring
Messages are scanned automatically for language suggesting risk of harm — see the Clinical
Disclaimer for how that works. Soulio's safety team may review reported conversations. We may
restrict or suspend messaging for any member who violates these Terms.
5. Photos and content
Uploaded photos are reviewed before becoming visible to other members. We may remove any content
that violates these Terms. Do not upload a photo of anyone but yourself.
6. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, without prior notice —
including impersonation, harassment, unlicensed clinical practice, or romantic/sexual conduct
toward another member.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced to members.
Continuing to use Soulio after a change takes effect means you accept the update.
